Paint first, explain later
I've been painting for most of my life and working with glass for a good part of it. The two feed each other: glass taught me to think in blocks of colour, and painting taught me to look for light before anything else.
Most of what I make starts with something ordinary: weather coming in over water, the way a face falls into shadow, a colour I can't stop thinking about. Some of it ends up as a painting and some of it ends up cut and leaded.
Running paint nights is the part I didn't expect to love as much as I do. Watching someone who swore they couldn't paint leave holding something they made is genuinely the best part of the month.

Come to a paint night. Everything is provided, no experience is assumed, and you'll leave with a painting of your own and a much better idea of how this all works.
